When our founder’s 85-year-old grandmother underwent knee surgery, something most people never think about suddenly became a major obstacle: taking the trash to the curb. Her home sat at the end of a downhill cul-de-sac, with a steep driveway extending even farther below street level. What had always been routine became unsafe and impossible.
Living over an hour away, he called around trying to hire help, offering to pay, and quickly realized something surprising: this service didn’t exist. Yet the need clearly did.
That moment revealed something bigger than one household problem. It exposed a quiet gap in everyday life, a gap affecting seniors, busy professionals, families juggling multiple schedules, students balancing work and school, and communities striving to operate smoothly without friction.
